In the Anthropocene era, what kind of picture will be created when we collaborate with nature?
In Luo Daishi's research, whether she uses biological logic to study copper metal, cultivates works by planting plants, or integrates chemical, art and traditional handicraft techniques through hybridization and grafting to form creative methods, all aim to explore the future of deep collaborative creation between humans and nature.
She regards copper as soil, using reaction solutions such as plants, minerals and compounds on it to draw out the distribution paths of colors and textures. Under the control of time changes, she stimulates copper to slowly react and grow fruits (colors and images) that are shaped by her and nature in collusion, such as in the "Star Series". Daishi calls her creative method "90% control + 10% randomness", and in the collaborative cooperation between humans and nature, she triggers materials to grow a universe beyond imagination.

Daishi has been constantly seeking better ways to convey the vitality she perceives, as well as the potential for collaboration between humans and nature. Therefore, in 2023, she developed the "Molting Cicada Technique"—a method that involves using transparent polymer materials to preserve growing images, to enable her works to be rooted in copper but detached from it, presenting a translucent and alive state.

Therefore, upon the commission from the LANCOME Art Exhibition (2023-2024) , she built upon the previous research and created a new perspective on time and light. She also regarded space as the carrier for creation, and thus the work "Time Universe" was born.
This group of works is inspired by "Time Magic". In Daishi's creation, the cultivated and growing works are actually the fruits of time. Time creates works through linear progression and reveals its form within the works. She uses the latest research - the "Molting Cicada Technique" technique to freeze time and transform it into a translucent entity.

And they are placed in a pure white arc-shaped laboratory, a 2.4-meter-high conic curve culture vessel, and six giant wall culture dishes surrounding the entire space. Through the integration of light, time and the culture bodies, a life wonder is hatched. When you step into this space, it feels as if you have entered the physical shape of time. Endless colors and details envelop you, as if you are traveling through the vast universe of time to explore the future of deep collaboration between humans and nature in creative works.
