Monocrystal

Copper

H 50 x W 48  x D 48  cm

Unique

"Monocrystal " is inspired by the mineral crystal form in nature. It is the basic unit of the new ore world created by Daishi Luo. Using industrially manufactured copper plates as the base material, she used laser cutting and welding to shape the bones. The structure of each side of the Monocrystal is different, creating a seemingly complex and disordered visual form, which becomes the basic form of infinite extension in the future.

On the surface of the bones, she uses fire and air to oxidize skin and adds painted language to create a unique artificial natural crystal. It is a blend of absolute control and out of control, and it is a balance of contemporary industrial manufacturing logic and natural creation logic.
